Museums

SonicPicnic is a special combination of talents. We are a team of makers, thinkers and problem solvers. Together we are creatively, technically and conceptually strong. A perfect mix for designing and realizing audio experiences for museums.
Over the years we have worked for many museums (see the list below) and learned a lot as a result. We know what works well and what doesn't, and we always keep ourselves up to date with the latest developments in our field and those of our clients.

Sound is a defining element in many exhibitions and it will not surprise you that we prefer to pay as much attention to it as possible. We like to be involved early, so that we can use our experience and ideas to help think about how audio can be put to use in the best way possible. Our role can be creative, technical or advisory.

A few examples:
How do you create an interactive installation where visitors can create their own pop song? What would the painter have heard when he created the painting and how can you convey this to the visitor? How do you provide an interactive installation in the museum with good sound for a single visitor without disturbing other visitors?

If the role and possibilities of sound have been carefully considered in advance, this will of course improve the overall experience, giving visitors the impression of visiting a whole new world.
