Experimenta – AI Pavilion

Sound design driven by the power of man and machine.

Not a day goes by without yet another killer app that makes stunning use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Is it a hype or the promise of the solution to all of humanity's challenges?

At Experimenta – Das Science Center in Heilbronn (DE), they went in search of the story behind AI: what is it actually, how did it originate, and what can we expect from it in the future?

Together with interactives design company Yipp, exhibition-design company NorthernLight and the hardware builders at Bruns, we worked on the design of a brand new pavilion where visitors can learn and experience for themselves how the basic principles of AI work. We took care of the sound design for the pavilion, consisting of all the sounds for a whole series of interactive installations and an adaptive soundscape generator, driven by AI, that resonates throughout the building.

A great project in which we were able to perfectly combine our skills in making applied music and sound and co-creating technical solutions.
