Experimenting with voice, text and colour
A dynamic soundscape for the entrance to the Net Positive Diner, commissioned by FX Agency.
Initiated by Deloitte, amongst others, the Net Positive Diner aims to raise awareness for, and encourage discussion about sustainability in the world of food.
The source material for the soundscape consists solely of text fragments printed on large billboards along the walls of the entrance, voiced by Denise Stahlie Rivera, resulting in a layered, abstract, sometimes rhythmical, sometimes harmonical landscape of sound – in which the message of the event is inherent.
By constantly switching the colour of the lights on the coloured text, ever-changing messages appeared on the billboards. The soundscape, mixed for a four channel speaker setup designed for the location, changed along with these messages, immersing visitors in constantly evolving atmopheres of light, sound and text.
