Into D’mentia
The sound of an inner world
Into D'mentia is a very special project with the purpose of making people aware how difficult and confusing life can be when you're suffering from dementia.
You are part of an interactive story in which you experience the first signs of getting demented. Making use of video, interactive touchscreens, light and sound, you get a disturbing insight in how it feels to lose control over daily things in life.
This project was realized by IJsfontein.
SonicPicnic created all the sounds one will hear during the experience. Multiple speakers are hidden in the room and you wear a pair of speakers, from which you will hear your inner voice. The installation is travelling all across the country.
