Wereldmuseum – Superstraat
Familiar sounds from the neighbourhood
In Superstreet, children (and adults) discover how neighbours are connected to each other and the world. In this small urban village built at the World Museum in Rotterdam, you can walk into the different houses and shops to hear stories about the residents. You can also help them do their day-to-day activities.
Yipp made some of the interactive installations in Superstreet, and we did the sound design for them. This film shows one of these: in Agas toko you will help the owner to find and scan the right products in the store. Hidden in the back of the store, you'll also find a telephone which lets you text to the various inhabitants in different languages.
